Driver who knocked down nine-year-old girl said 'she'll be alright' before driving away

A female driver who ran down a nine-year-old girl with her car told the youngster 'she'll be alright' before driving away from the scene. Officers arrived at Tile House lane in junction with The Causeway in Colchester shortly after 10am following the shocking incident on December 17, Essex Live reports.

Reports claim that the young girl was clipped by the small grey car which was being driven by a white female in her 40s. The woman stopped at the scene very briefly to reassure the child she'd be fine before driving off again.
