A car has been seized after a driver was attempting to impersonate a police officer.
Cheshire police spotted the Volkswagen Golf GTI driving around Warrington with red and blue lights flashing under the grill. Officers said that the car was being driven dangerously and the driver was also speeding.
The car was stopped by police who found that it was not an unmarked police car and an officer wasn't behind the wheel. As a result, the car was seized.

Posting to the roads and crime unit Twitter page, a spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "Excellent work by C Block in Warrington- speeding, driven dangerously with red and blue flashing lights under the grill. Not a police car and not driven by a police officer. Vehicle seized and driver will be heading to court."
