Two men have been arrested after a police chase ended in a crash.
Merseyside police confirmed they were involved in a pursuit, in Moreton, at around 9.30pm on Thursday, November 24. Officers started the chase, after a white Vauxhall Astra failed to stop for patrols.
The pursuit continued onto Fairmead Road and the car then crashed into two parked cars on the street. Police say the driver of the car and another man inside the vehicle attempted to run away but were later detained.

Two men, aged 32 and 34 year, from the Tranmere and Liscard were arrested at the scene on suspicion of offences relating to the vehicle and other, unrelated offences. They have been taken to a police station in Merseyside where they remain in custody.
Eyewitnesses in the area told The ECHO they saw a car swerve into a number of parked vehicles, and the lamp post causing the damage. They also reported hearing a police helicopter circling above just minutes after the crash and seeing the road "full of smoke".
A man said: "They just came down the road, smashed into a parked car here, completely annihilated another car up there, and then crashed into a lamp post. One of the cars is about three feet shorter than it should be."
A police cordon has been established on Fairmead Road whilst officers continue to examine CCTV footage and make witness enquiries. A spoeksperson said: "Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact us via @MerPolCC on Twitter or 'Merseyside Police Contact Centre' on Facebook, with log 979 of Thursday 24 November.
