With temperatures plummeting and snow falling across the country, drivers face the time-consuming task of scraping ice from their vehicles each morning - but one motorist has revealed his method for avoiding this which others have vowed to try for themselves.
TikTok user @tristanwalton13 shared the "two second job" on TikTok, and it couldn't be more simple - the method involves placing thick cardboard over the windscreen overnight to shield it from the winter weather. In the clip, which has racked up more than two million views, the motorist removes the cardboard - making use of a flattened parcel box - on a snowy morning to reveal a clear windscreen beneath.
The straightforward trick left TikTok viewers impressed, with some remarking that they couldn't believe they hadn't considered the method before. "Proper clever that, would never have thought of it," one person wrote.
