In total, 37 fixed penalty notices were handed out during the crackdown, the BirminghamMail reports.

"We start by enforcement against the driver, if they’re around we engage them, explaining what’s wrong and hope that encourages better driving practices in the future as we’ve proven that this culture of bad parking.
"Feedback from all of the drivers we spoke to today was that they knew they were committing offences, but carried on & did it anyway!
"This is yet more evidence that this is a cultural issue of ignoring the rules of the road and cannot be resolved by Encouragement and Education alone.
"Hence our approach and the impact it’s now having. We thought that this repeat offending site would be the worst we would see today but we were wrong."
The force then went on to share the picture of the silver Vauxhall which had mounted the pavement the wrong way, stating they would "actively seek" the driver.
A spokesman added: "We have issued 37 fixed penalty notices today for a range of parking offences. If you see your car in our photos expect a letter in the next few days Illegal parking has a profound effect on other road users, creating dangerous situations and putting lives at risk."
