A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a hit and run in Bolton - as police launched an investigation to trace the driver.
Officers were called to the horror smash involving a car and a pedestrian on Jedburgh Avenue in the Heaton area at around 11.45pm on Saturday night (March 4).
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene and a woman, aged 44, was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious but not life threatening.

The driver fled from the scene and has still not been located, police said. No arrests have been in connection with the incident, which is being described by detectives as "isolated."
Witnesses described seeing a large emergency response on Saturday night, as police cordoned off the area into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Anyone with information, or who has dashcam or doorbell footage that could help with the investigation, is being urged contact Greater Manchester Police immediately.
In a statement, GMP said: "On Saturday 5 March 2023 at around 11:45pm, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Jedburgh Avenue in Heaton, Bolton.
"Emergency services attended the scene and a 44-year-old female was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
"The driver did not remain at the scene and investigation has subsequently been launched to locate the suspect. No arrests have been made in connection at present and it is believed to be an isolated incident and poses no wider threat to the public.
"Officers would urge anyone with any information in regards to this incident, to report it to GMP immediately. This could include dash cam or doorbell footage of the incident or any suspicious activity before or after 11:45pm in the local area.
