A driver has been left with life-changing injuries following an early morning crash in Swansea. South Wales Police said that the crash was reported shortly after 4.15am on Monday (November 7)
A spokesman for the force said that one vehicle was involved in the crash on Townhill Road, Townhill, where a car had overturned. The only person in the vehicle was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The spokesman added that his injuries were described as "life changing”. Police investigations at the scene meant the road was closed for a time on Monday morning between Graiglwyd Road and Merlin Crescent. A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were called to the scene around 4.30am.
She said: "We sent one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances and two duty operations managers to the scene, where we were supported by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service. One person was taken to University Hospital of Wales Cardiff for further treatment.”
