Driver injured after tree falls on auto due to heavy rain in Ulhasnagar

ULHASNAGAR: A driver was seriously injured after a big tree fell due to heavy rain on a running auto rickshaw carrying school students in Ulhasnagar on Wednesday afternoon.

Luckily, four students travelling in auto did not suffer any injuries.

In the mishap, auto rickshaw driver Manoj Sakpale suffered serious head injuries and he has been admitted to Central hospital for treatment.

The auto rickshaw carrying four students was passing from Gandhi road in camp number 5 in Ulhasnagar.

At that time, due to heavy rain, a big tree beside the road fell on the rickshaw.

Meanwhile, the locals rushed and pulled out the four students from the rickshaw safely.

However driver Sakpale who has suffered head injuries was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The mishap led to traffic on road, and the fire brigade team had rushed on spot to cut the tree and remove it to clear traffic on road.
