Motorists who drove down the M6 and "put lives at risk" have been blasted by police. North West Motorway Police officers stopped the motorist on the M6 at J18 for Middlewich Interchange and made the driver take a roadside breath test, which they subsequently failed, LancsLive reported.
Officers had received several calls from concerned motorists about the manner a BMW car was being driven in along the M6 this morning (Saturday, August 27). The driver reportedly blew more than four times the legal drink drive limit.
Officers said that the driver put themselves, their passengers and other road users "at risk" due to their decision to get behind the wheel.
