A driver has been issued with a fine after travelling at 80mph through a roadworks area on the M9 in Falkirk.
The incident happened on Wednesday January 19, between J7 and J8, where a temporary 50mph speed limit is in place.
It comes as Road Policing officers announced that they were cracking down on careless driving on priority routes across Forth Valley.
10 pedestrian road maintenance workers were killed and 72 seriously injured in Great Britain between 2013 and 2018.
Taking to social media, officers said: "Officers from Forth Valley Road Policing stopped a white van travelling on the Stirling bound M9 between J7 & J8 on 19/01/22.
"After observing it enter an area of roadworks with a temporary 50mph speed limit at 80mph.
The driver was issued a Conditional Offer Fixed Penalty ticket for Careless Driving.
"The temporary speed limit is there for a reason, please stick to it."
