Emergency services responded to a crash after a driver crashed into a stationary vehicle, a lamppost and bollards on a busy commuter road.
Officers received reports of a two-vehicle collision on Durham Road, in Birtley, at around 8pm on Sunday.
Northumbria Police said on Monday morning that the report suggested a vehicle had collided with a stationary vehicle, a lamppost, and bollards.
A spokesman for the force said: “At 8pm yesterday we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Durham Road, in Birtley. It was reported that a vehicle had collided with a stationary vehicle and also a lamppost and bollards. Emergency services attended and no-one was found to have been injured.”
Enquiries are ongoing.
