Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit’s Sergeant Adnan Alam said: “Driving at dangerously high speeds shows a complete disregard for the safety of both the occupants of their vehicle and other road users.
“Dangerous and careless driving are both key factors in fatal and serious injury collisions on the roads and our enforcement focuses on tackling dangerous driving and speeding.”
Sergeant Alam confirmed a report would be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
He added: “We all have a responsibility to drive safely every time we take to the roads and with consideration for all other road users.
“We urge motorists to drive to the conditions and comply with all road signage.”
