Ever since the 2022 F1 season finished, fans have been waiting patiently to see what went on behind the scenes over the course of the campaign.
Here the Irish Mirror takes a look at everything you need to know.
This is the earliest a series has been released but it is still one week before the 2023 season gets underway.
The F1 season officially starts on March 3 with the first free practice session in Bahrain, and ends on November 26 with the Abu Dhabi grand prix.
Release Date: When is Drive To Survive Season 5?
Netflix have confirmed that Season 5 will premiere on Friday February 24, 2023 in Ireland and the UK - we are now less than 24 hours away.
The release date comes smack bang in the middle of pre-season 2023 testing in Bahrain.
Which drivers are in it this year?
While Mercedes and Ferrari were initially hesitant to take part in the documentary when it first arrived onto the scene, all teams and drivers are now cooperating with the show, providing exclusive interviews about their seasons.
Does Max Verstappen appear in Drive To Survive?
It’s been well publicised that Verstappen hasn’t always been in the show recently as he had issues with the way drivers and the sport was portrayed.
But the trailer for Season 5 shows him back in production and once again a major part of the show.
Until this year, world champion Max Verstappen refused to take part because he disagreed with the creative methods the directors took with some of F1's storylines.
Season 5 Major Storylines
Season 5 will of course take F1 fans behind the scenes to get all the juiciest moments and storylines from the 2022 F1 season over ten episodes.
Fans are expected to be treated to a fly-on-the-wall look at Max Verstappen's second title win and the underlying struggles which prevented Lewis Hamilton from going for glory.
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen is confirmed to be taking part in a sit-down interview following his previous criticism of the show.
Defending champion Max Verstappen told TalkSport on why he returned: “I spoke with them of course before I was going to give an interview.
“I hope that they understood my message, and I also know that especially being a World Champion, you have to be part of something like that.
“So I gave them like 30 minutes to one hour of an interview and I hope that they are going to use it.
“I don’t know when I’m going to watch it, but I hope they are happy.
“And I hope that I can be happy after watching it – I know it is important to F1 as well for growing the sport in general.”
