A white Audi was seized by police on the A627 in Oldham after officers stopped the vehicle and told the motorist: "Drive like an idiot, lose your car." The driver overtook an unmarked Greater Manchester Police car before cutting up other road users.
The motorist was subsequently reported for driving without due care and attention and told by police that the vehicle was now "where it should be, on a tow truck". Officers recounted the incident on the official Greater Manchester Police traffic Twitter account in an 11.24pm post on Saturday night.
It was accompanied by a photograph of the Audi S4 after it had been loaded onto the tow truck. The post read: "Overtook an unmarked car before cutting up members of the public on the A627 @GMPOldham.
"Drive like an idiot, lose your car. #Seized sec 59 by #SRTTcvu, driver reported for due care.
" #SaferRoads. Where it should be, on a tow truck."
