'Drishyam 2' star Shriya Saran reacts to RRR's Golden Globe nominations; says this is just the beginning for SS Rajamouli

Shriya Saran recently opened up about her film, 'RRR' earning two nominations at the Golden Globes 2023. The actress also showers praise on director SS Rajamouli.

Talking to a news portal, Shriya said that SS Rajamouli and everyone else has worked hard on this film. Every role is well-written and you remember every character. According to her, people connected to it and they loved it. The actress also hoped that the film does well for itself to the maximum.

Elaborating further, Shriya added that you want everyone to watch your film and appreciate it. And the best part is, it is Indian cinema. When RRR gets selected, it becomes an Indian film. It is not a Telugu, Tamil or Malayalam film. When RRR does well, the whole Indian cinema gets an upliftment, the actress told IndiaToday.in.

Showering praise on SS Rajamouli, Shriya went on to say that this is just the beginning for the filmmaker and she hoped that there are many more achievements to come. According to him, he is an extremely hardworking man and very kind. She concluded by saying that the best thing about him is that he has had the same team since the time she worked with him in 'Chatrapathi'.

On the work front, Shriya was last seen in 'Drishyam 2' co-starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna and Ishita Dutta. The film did record-breaking business at the box office.
