A drink-driver who killed a baby after striking his pram before fleeing the scene could be free from prison in two years.

James Paul Davis has served 12 months of his six-and-a-half year sentence after smashing into little Ciaran Leigh Morris at twice the speed limit.

The uninsured 35-year-old was driving his BMW at 60mph when he hit the two-week-old baby while he was on his first outing with his parents.
