DRCongo Army Accuses Rwanda Of 'Drone Attack' After Airport Bombing

The latest fighting in eastern DR Congo has sent tens of thousands of people fleeing towards the provincial capital Goma (Credit: AFP)

DR Congo's army on Saturday accused Rwanda of staging a "drone attack" at night that damaged civilian aircraft at the airport in the strategic eastern city of Goma.

Fighting has flared in recent days around the town of Sake, 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Goma, between M23 rebels -- which Kinshasa says is backed by Kigali -- and Congolese government forces.
