Although Draymond Green isn’t on the court with the Golden State Warriors due to his five-game suspension following his incident with Rudy Gobert and the Minnesota Timberwolves, the veteran forward is still keeping an eye on what’s going on.
On Wednesday, Green took to Twitter to share praise for Detroit Pistons rookie Ausar Thompson. Green praised Thompson, saying the Overtime Elite product is not being talked about enough.

Ausar Thompson averaging 10 rebounds and almost 2 blocks per game is not being talked about enough. That’s wild! Let me guess though… it’s not points, so it doesn’t matter?

In his rookie campaign for the Pistons, Thompson is averaging 11.3 points on 45.2% from the field to go along with 10.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks in 30.5 minutes per game.
Thompson leads all rookies in rebounds and steals per game. He is also second in assists per game and third in blocks per game for rookies.
Thompson was selected with the No. 5 pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Pistons out of Overtime Elite.
Green and the Warriors will welcome Thompson and the Pistons to San Francisco’s Chase Center in early January.
