Dramatic moment sees The Chase players walk away with thousands

The Chase players managed to walk away with several thousand pounds after a tense, nail-biting moment.

Bradley Walsh welcomed another three players to the show hoping to walk away with a healthy cash prize. Today's chaser was Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace who managed to make short work of the initial challengers.

Candice and Ada were sadly chopped after their head-to-head which meant they contributed nothing to the cash pot. The final round fell to Graham and Les to take on the chaser and protect their cash prize of £10,000.

In the final head-to-head, the pair managed to correctly answer 20 questions, creating an impressive gap between them and the chaser. Bradley said it was one of the better games contestants have played, but admitted it was going to be a "nail-biter."

The chaser kicked off with a good start and managed to fly through the majority of his questions, but with thirty seconds remaining, answered several back-to-back questions incorrectly.

Graham and Les managed to push the chaser back, but it all came down to one question remaining. Clearly flustered by the lack of time, the chaser stuttered through his answers as he tired to get them out as fast as possible.

With only one second left to answer the final question, the destroyer was timed out, meaning today's players were victorious by a minuscule margin. Embracing each other to celebrate, Bradley admitted it was one of the most intense games he's ever witnessed.
