This is the dramatic moment when a group of explorers were rescued from a Scots island.
The Queensferry RNLI raced to Cramond Island, in the Firth of Forth, after five people became stranded during horror conditions on Friday, February 4.
The group endured 'four seasons' in one trip to the island, which is reachable by a path when the tide is out.
But they ended up stranded when the tide came back in sparking a frantic rescue mission, reports Edinburgh Live.
The lifeboat team experienced sleet, rain, wind and sunshine all in a short window as they scrambled to the scene.
At the beginning the video the orange lifeboat can be seen bobbing through choppy weather and wild waters with Cramond Island in sight.
As they approach it begins to snow with icy sleet coming down on the the crew from all angles.
By the time they head back to base, gliding underneath the Forth Rail Bridge, the weather is bright and clear - unlike like the treacherous conditions less than an hour before.
The team shared the rescue clip on Facebook in a bid to highlight how quickly the Scottish weather can change - and to remind folk to be aware when taking a trip to Cramond Island to prevent them suffering a similar fate.
RNLI Queensferry said: "At 13:46 we were asked to rescue five persons cut off by the tide on Cramond Island. If you are familiar with the Scottish weather this footage will be of no surprise! We truly had 'four seasons in one shout'!
"When visiting Cramond Island, please plan carefully. You can view the safe crossing times in advance on our website, or SMS on the day - text CRAMOND to 81400.
"Have a good read of the signs before the causeway where you can view the times again. Ensure you are prepared for the elements, today started off being a bright sunny dry day, and then we had a horizontal hail storm, followed by some more sunshine.
"Please leave plenty of wriggle room to come back from your trip on the island, and remember we are dealing with Mother Nature!"
