This is the shocking moment a tree collapsed onto an overhead line on a Scots railway track in the aftermath of Storm Dudley.
The massive tree collided with 25,000V overhead power lines before bursting into flames at Beattock, Dumfries and Galloway earlier today.
The lines supply electricity to trains and are never switched off.
NetworkRail were alerted after eight massive trees fell onto the railways lines, with three blocking the tracks.
When the railway company staff arrived they managed to capture the shocking moment the tree burst into flames.
Sharing it on Twitter, they posted: "Here's a short clip of what the team at Beattock were dealing with when they arrived on site earlier today."
The area was cleared of trains to allow staff to clear the trees and repair the extensive damage caused.
Tracks remain closed and are estimated to open at 9pm tonight.
NetworkRail have apologised to travellers if their journey has been disrupted
