Amelia Dimoldenberg is one step closer to booking her “ultimate crush” Drake for Chicken Shop Date after he shared a cheeky comment on her latest Instagram post.
The YouTube presenter, 29, shared photos of her clad in a black and white check bikini while soaking up the sunshine in Palm Springs, California on Thursday.
Captioning the post, she penned: “Felt cute, might delete later,” to which Drake, 36, responded: “Chups.” In Jamaican Patois, chups refers to a small kiss or peck.
The social media star’s followers were quick to comment under his remark, with one writing: “please who’s chasing who when is the chicken shop date?!”
While another added: “the collab we’ve been waiting for”. A third penned: “is it gonna happen?!?!!?!?”
A fourth asked: “When’s the date?”
The comedian previously said that she was trying to organise a date with the Canadian rapper after he slid into her DMs and asked to appear on her viral YouTube series last year.
Speaking to Metro last May, Dimoldenberg said: “Drake messaged me this year, unsolicited I might add. He said he’s going to make it happen this year.
“When he’s next in London I think he will stay true to his word. Either that or he’s really leading me on!”
She joked: “It must be hard for him to see me dating lots of other people when he knows we are meant to be together…”
It is yet to be seen whether they have managed to film something together but perhaps, this is one step closer to it happening.
Dimoldenberg has seen her star rise to stratospheric levels in recent months as her awkwardly funny Chicken Shop Date YouTube series reaches more than one million subscribers.
The show had gained a cult following since her channel’s launch in 2014, while she studied fashion communication at Central Saint Martins.
The series originally started as a magazine column before it moved online three years later and since then she has interviewed the likes of 1975’s Matty Healy, Ghetts, Jack Harlow, Louis Theroux and Rosalia.
Aside from her YouTube fame, Dimoldenberg has regularly gone viral during 2023’s award season for her hilarious moments with Andrew Garfield and Paul Mescal.
