Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell is set to reveal his story of alleged sexual abuse by dialogue coach Brian Peck in an upcoming Investigation Discovery series titled “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The show is scheduled to premiere on March 17 and 18.
Bell, now 37, will share his experience publicly for the first time, shedding light on the abuse he reportedly suffered as a minor at the hands of Peck. Peck, who worked on Nickelodeon's “The Amanda Show,” was arrested in 2003 on charges of a lewd act against a child and oral copulation of a person under 16. He was later convicted of sexually abusing an unidentified Nickelodeon child actor and sentenced to 16 months in jail.
It is believed that Bell was the minor involved in Peck's case. Despite the alleged abuse, Bell went on to star in the popular Nickelodeon series “Drake and Josh” from 2004 to 2007.
Other former child actors, including Will Friedle and Rider Strong from “Boy Meets World,” have also spoken out about their interactions with Peck. Friedle revealed that he felt 'groomed' by Peck and expressed deep regret for supporting him during the sexual abuse accusations.
In a separate incident, Bell faced his own legal troubles in 2021 when he pleaded guilty to a child endangerment charge for sending inappropriate messages to a 15-year-old girl he met online.
Despite the challenges he has faced, Bell is now ready to share his side of the story in the upcoming documentary series, marking a significant moment in his journey of healing and seeking justice.
