The incident occurred during a live stream where Devon Werkheiser, a star from the show, made inappropriate comments regarding the sexual abuse that came to light in Discovery's docuseries Quiet on Set.
The docuseries revealed that former dialogue coach Brian Peck had sexually abused Drake and Josh star Drake Bell when he was fifteen. Werkheiser was heard making jokes during the live stream, saying, 'Get back in your hole, Daniel [Curtis Lee], Give me your holes!' He then acknowledged the inappropriateness of the jokes but continued to laugh.
Werkheiser later expressed regret, stating, 'Our set was not like that. The Drake Bell s**t, like, that's crazy to hear. That is f**ked, man. And that never came out, which is really wild.' He also read a comment insinuating complicity in the abuse, to which he responded with laughter before realizing the seriousness of the situation.
