Drag Race's Jimbo opens up about her explosive backstage meltdown

Drag Race UK Versus The World contestant Jimbo has opened up on a Facebook Live tell-all about her true feelings after her elimination at the hands of fellow cast member Pangina Heals.

After the episode aired on BBC Three on Tuesday night, Drag Race fans from across the globe were quick to react to the unfortunate elimination of the Canadian drag star who was a front runner until the shocking elimination.

When asked how she feels after her boot from the show, Jimbo stated it was a sleepless night with a lot of emotions.

She said: "I am absolutely devastated, I've just spent the entire night crying and sobbing and crying some more. I'm fine now, no more tears left to weep."

This week we saw Pangina Heals take to the stage to lip sync for her legacy alongside her fellow cast member Janey Jacke.

After the lip sync, RuPaul declared Pangina was a winner which led to the dreaded decision of sending Jimbo home.

Upon leaving the stage Jimbo was very emotional and thanked RuPaul for the opportunity, saying: "Thank you all so much for this chance to represent my country and my heart.

"You are my icon and a legend, this is the greatest dream of my life and I will never forget it."

When asked about her emotions leaving the stage and departing the competition, Jimbo said: "I walked backstage and my legs gave out, I crumpled down onto the ground into this heaped little pile of sadness and devastation.

"I made my way to the workroom where I had a huge meltdown, I screamed so loud I've never screamed that loud before - it was very dramatic and they decided not to air it.

"I'm glad they decided not to air it because it wasn't my best moment. I maybe said a couple of things I didn't mean at the time."

Jimbo landed in the bottom two this week with a fellow Drag Race legend from Boston, Jujubee.

As the Boston born drag star has competed on the show three times previously, fans have taken to social media to express their concern that RuPaul is showing a sense of favouritism to her as he would like to see her take the crown.

When Jimbo was asked for her opinions on the controversial situation she was quick to speak out and said: "I think it's natural in this world and life to have favourites, this isn't the first time we've seen people have favourites to go through to the end.

"I think that is just the nature of the game. That's what makes people upset they want a sense of fairness."

After her time on the show Jimbo gained a huge following and became a fan favourite who was adored by Drag Race fans from across the globe.

When speaking out she wanted to show her appreciation for the love and support she had received.

She added: "I'm so grateful to all of my fans, I really do feel so supported and so loved by people around the world and people in my home country of Canada and it''s just incredible."
