Liverpool drag queens are set to entertain crowds in an unusual setting.
FunnyBoyz, "a new concept in drag cabaret bringing you the most hilarious shows, comedy, silly games and cheesy tunes" are taking over the River Mersey as they set to perform on the ferry.
The event, to be held on Friday, May 27, will be holiday themed with live singers, comedians, lip synching dancers and will take place inside. However, the sound will be carried to the top deck where customers can watch the sunset over the Irish Sea.

Drag Queen and co-owner of FunnyBoyz, Linda Gold, told the ECHO : “I first sailed on the Mersey Ferry at five years of age. I was going on summer holidays to New Brighton and like most Scousers the Mersey Ferry is part of our history and heritage. We are ecstatic to be joining the team for its first ever drag queen cruise.
“Customers should expect a lot of fun and laughter but giving the cruise the respect it deserves, my main concern is that none of the drags fall overboard, goodness knows what's in that river.”
For two and half hours, audience members can look forward to “silly holiday style cabaret” with music mixes based on hits from the Titanic, Ferry across the Mersey by Liverpool’s Gerry and the Pacemakers and other water related songs.
Guests can enjoy drinks and food, which will be available to buy on board from the licensed bar, as they watch Liverpool performers Dys Alexia, Linda Gold, Claudia and Carmen Sutra do what they do best.
Tickets are priced at £20 per person, however for group bookings of 20 or more, tickets are £17 per person. The cruise will depart first from Woodside, Wirral at 7:30pm and secondly at Pier Head, Liverpool at 7.45pm. The dress code is casual but customers are advised to wrap-up warm.
