The official march made its way through Liverpool City Centre with thousands of people joining. A small crowd of protesters gathered at Derby Square near Liverpool Crown Court to protest the march. The group carried placards with biblical references on them.
But a group of drag queens peacefully approached them before lining up and firing confetti cannons in their direction. Onlookers can be heard screaming in support and dancing along before continuing their celebrations.
A free event followed the march starting at the Pier Head earlier today at 12pm. The event, headlined by disco legends Boney M and Maizie Williams, is free for all.
