Mock drafts come in droves on Monday’s and this week was no different. They came in fast and furious and cornerback continues to be a prioritized position as The NFL Draft Bible sends cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from Penn State to the Vikings at the 28th overall pick.
The Vikings will have the 23rd overall pick and Porter Jr. could still be in play at that point. Here is what they had to say about Porter Jr.
“A long, physical press man cover corner, Porter Jr owns prototypical attributes, along with NFL bloodlines (son of former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter). His long arms allow him to knock receivers off their mark and enable him to get his hands on a lot of tipped balls.”
If Porter Jr. falls that far, he would be an excellent get for the Vikings. Putting him in the same room as Andrew Booth Jr. and Akayleb Evans would give the Vikings a dynamic trio to move forward with.
