Dr Tony Holohan has a new job.
The former Chief Medical Officer has started a new position as an adjunct professor in public health in UCD.
This is the rival college of Trinity College Dublin where he was supposed to take up almost the exact same role earlier this year.
The top medic, who did the State huge service during the Covid pandemic, became embroiled in a huge political scandal when his proposed secondment to a professorship became undone.

It emerged that his role would continue to be paid by the taxpayer, through the Department of Health, and that Health Minister Stephen Donnelly had been kept in the dark about the role.
The Taoiseach Micheál Martin and other ministers were also kept in the dark.
Dr Holohan’s new role at UCD is an honorary position and is unpaid.
UCD confirmed his appointment to the Irish Mirror after Dr Holohan put up a note about it on his linkedin profile late on Wednesday evening.
Professor Cecily Kelleher, Principal of the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences, University College Dublin: "I am delighted to announce that outgoing Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has taken up a five year appointment as Adjunct Full Professor at UCD, affiliated to the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences."

Dr Holohan said on linkedin: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Adjunct Full Professor at University College Dublin.”
