Ireland is full of natural beauty and stunning places to go visit if you're coming to the country as a tourist.
The Cliffs of Moher, the Giants Causeway, the Guinness Storehouse - all great places to go that guarantee a good time.
But tourists visit many places when they come here and one of those is the Spire in Dublin city centre.

Hundreds of those such visitors also leave reviews, and on Tripadvisor there is actually far more "average" reviews than there are "excellent" ones.
The general consensus is that it's not all that "inSPIREing" as one critical visitor pointed out.
One UK visitor said: "Well it is a Spire. Not much more to it. It is not exactly the Eiffel Tower. If you happen to be in the area all well and good but would not go to see it especially."
One confused Swiss traveller said: "Nothing you need to see. Its a metal thing that goes up in the sky... I mean what's the point? To me its pointless."
An American saw some uses for it, but wouldn't recommend: "Simply put, the Spire is just a long, tall, thin needle in the middle of O'Connell st. Distilled down, there is really nothing to it. A quick 10-15 minutes is all you need.
"As our guide told us, during the Celtic Tiger years, when Ireland was flushed with cash, they needed to use it. So they spent 4 million euros- on the spire.
"It is quite tall- 120 meters. Nice for photo ops here.
"But honestly, a better use of the spire, especially for tourist, is as a meeting point or directional compass as it can be seen from quite some distance."
