Dozens of new properties to be built for over 55s in Sefton Park

Dozens of new homes are to be created for over 55s on the site of two disused nursing homes in Sefton Park.

After first hearing proposals for a 42-property block on land once used by Liverpool College Upper School in 2021, the city council has signed off on plans for two multi-storey blocks on Bishop Court Road from applicant Sanctuary Housing.

Sanctuary will construct the new development scheme featuring a three-storey block of one and two-bedroom flats along the Sefton Park Road frontage, with a two-storey mews development of ‘cottage’ flats with partial dormer roofs in two blocks. These would provide 16 two-bedroom units.
