Dozens of Hunter Valley graves robbed of memorial plaques: police

Hunter police are investigating reports a memorial was damaged inside a cemetery in the region on Tuesday night.

Officers said in a brief statement they were called to the cemetery at Aberdare in the Hunter Valley after about 40 plaques were removed and stolen at some time between 5pm on October 6 and 9am on October 7.
