As of Tuesday morning, over 40 flights in and out of Beirut's main airport, Rafic Hariri, have been canceled. The cancelations were reported on the airport's website, although not all were immediately visible on airport information boards.
The majority of the canceled flights were destined for or arriving from countries such as Germany, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, Ethiopia, Switzerland, France, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, and Qatar.
Lebanese aviation authorities have refuted claims of complete flight suspensions and clarified that certain airlines opted to halt operations to Beirut due to the Israeli strikes in recent days.
Among the airlines that have suspended flights to Lebanon are Qatar Airways, EgyptAir, Tarom, and Lufthansa.
