Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that individuals in Jordan provided intelligence that helped it carry out attacks on US military targets in the country.

In a statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, IRGC claimed it had destroyed 20 hangars housing US forces at Jordan's al-Azraq air base and killed dozens of American troops.
The US, however, has said that 17 American service members have been killed since the conflict began.
The IRGC also alleged that ballistic missiles struck US C-17 transport aircraft and P-8 surveillance aircraft at Aqaba airport, causing heavy damage.
The development comes as the United States carried out a fresh round of airstrikes on Iran early Monday after announcing the death of another American service member, while Iran launched missiles towards Jordan.
Earlier, the US military said its strikes targeted Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard in retaliation for the killing of American troops in Jordan on Friday. It also said one service member remained missing after the attack, adding that "unidentified remains" recovered on Sunday were being examined. Since the conflict began, 17 US service members have been killed.
The renewed exchanges of fire, now in their second week, have seen the United States target bridges and electrical facilities in Iran.
As the strikes began, a ship caught fire early Monday in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman, the British military said. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The waterway has been used by commercial vessels following US military advice to avoid routes under Iran's control. The Revolutionary Guard later claimed it was targeting tankers in the strait.
Meanwhile, Tehran continued retaliatory strikes against US-allied countries across the Middle East.
Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait once again activated their air defence systems in response to incoming Iranian drones and missiles. Early Monday, the US Embassy in Bahrain issued a warning stating that "Iran may seek to target unspecified locations in central Manama," the country's capital, without providing further details.
Israel also warned that missiles launched towards neighbouring Jordan could cause fires to spread into Israeli territory for the first time in weeks.
