Download Festival causing long queues and slow moving traffic as thousands flock to event

There have been reports of long queues and slow moving traffic as thousands of rock fans head to Download Festival. The first full day of live music starts today (June 10) and will carry on until Sunday (June 12).

Roads around Castle Donington are expected to see a build up of traffic and delays. The A453 has slow moving traffic at its junctions and on Walton Hill as travellers approach the site.

Melbourne Road to the west of the festival site has also got delays and slow moving traffic. The queues start building up after King's Newton until Isley Walton.
