The first 20 fines for attending alleged lockdown parties in Downing Street and Whitehall will be issued, but no names will be given.
The Metropolitan Police said today that investigators will refer notices to the ACRO Criminal Records Office. Fixed penalty notices will be issued.
Scotland Yard says it will not reveal identities of those fined. Downing Street has said it will confirm if Prime Minister Boris Johnson is handed a fine, although the initial wave is not expected to include the Prime Minister.
