A top Stirling music festival is set to make its return this summer after a two-year hiatus due to Covid.
Doune the Rabbit Hole, which is based at the Cardross Estate near Port of Menteith, is now Scotland’s third-largest music festival and brings together music fans for four days of entertainment.
It represents one of the top events of the Stirling cultural calendar, but like many across the entertainment world, the event has been forced into cold storage for both 2020 and 2021 due to uncertainties around large gatherings due to the pandemic.
But the festival’s organisers have announced its return, with the music extravaganza set to take place between July 14 and July 17 this year.

Among the acts performing across the event’s six stages are Scottish star Amy Macdonald - who headlines on Friday - and world famous supergroup Belle and Sebastian, who will take to the stage on Saturday.
The opening night will be headlined by the legendary Patti Smith and Band, while Sunday night will see Bellshill rockers Teenage Fanclub produce their headline set as the curtain falls.
Other acts dotted about the weekend include Sleaford Mods, Orbital, Camera Obscura, Yard Act, 10cc, Craig Charles and classic disco act Boney M.
Tartan Army fans can also get their fill with Baccara - the band behind the new Scottish football anthem ‘Yes Sir, I Can Boogie’ - also set to wow the appreciative audience.

Festival director Jamie Murray expressed his gratitude to music fans who had stayed the course with the festival following the last two cancellations and hailed this year’s line up.
He said: "We're delighted to be able to bring Doune the Rabbit Hole back to Stirlingshire this July. It really has been a long time coming with the previous two festivals, in 2020 and 2021, postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"We feel we've really gone above and beyond this time around and combined rollover acts with big new names plus a host of well known Scottish bands.
"We're truly excited to engage with and welcome the local community back and we'll be speaking to lots of local organisations to involve them once again."
All of those who have retained tickets purchased for the 2020 and 2021 festivals will be able to use these for the 2022 shindig, while the event will also honour free tickets for children who were under the age of 12 at the time of the 2020 or 2021 festival.
A full breakdown of the entire line-up, plus other activities available on the site across the festival, is available on the Doune the Rabbit Hole website.
