PANAJI: National coach Igor Stimac has included three seniors among the final 22-member squad for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, and is now working on getting the best preparations for the continental tournament.
As expected, India's leading goal-scorer Sunil Chhetri, defender Sandesh Jhingan and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu - all three India captains - got the nod from Stimac to be included in the final squad, but their participation will depend whether clubs are willing to release the players for a long spell and, crucially, miss the start of the Indian Super League (ISL).
