Two men were left with serious injuries after a Bonfire Night shooting.
Emergency services were called to Broad Hey, Litherland, at around 11.20pm on November 5. They found two men with serious injuries to their legs as a result of a shooting.
Pictures from the scene show a forensics tent set up by police just feet away from where the bonfire stood. Merseyside Police confirmed the bonfire was still going at the time of the attack and detectives are keen to speak to anyone who attended.

A man, described as white and believed to be dressed in all black, was reportedly spotted running away from the scene shortly after the shooting. Police today confirmed witness, CCTV and forensic enquiries were continuing and further searches being carried out.
Forensic officers remained at the scene carrying out fingertip searches into the afternoon of Sunday, November 6. A cordon was also in place around several addresses on Broad Hey. Police are urging anyone who may have information or footage to come forward.
Detective Inspector Andy Dykes said: “This was a horrendous incident which we think was witnessed by multiple people attending a bonfire nearby. We have spoken to some of these witnesses and would like to ask anyone who has yet to come forward to do so as a matter of urgency, to enable us to have a full understanding of exactly what happened. Your account, dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage may well be vital in tracking down whoever who responsible for this terrible act.
“We are keeping an open mind as to the reason behind this shooting, but it initially appears to have been targeted. However, we recognise that people who saw it happen or live locally will be concerned and perhaps feel fearful. Officers will be in the area today carrying out our investigation and I’d encourage people to speak to them, or if not comfortable doing so, passing information on anonymously via Crimestoppers.
