Dortmund and the pre Rangers uncertainty as Marco Reus makes penalty admission

Dortmund star Marco Reus amdits the uncertainty surrounding their penalty taker against Monchengladbach came due to a lack of a designated spot-kick taker.

Rangers' Europa League foes dusted themselves down after their humbling 4-2 defeat with a thumping 6-0 triumph on Sunday.

But there was a lively moment when Reus, Youssoufa Moukoko and Emre Can all debated who would take a penalty.

And the club icon admits the confusion came from all three being unsure who was next in line to nab the spot kick.

Reus said: "We don't have a clear order of who takes the penalties. You never know exactly who will be on the pitch at what time.”

Embattled Dortmund manager Marco Rose played down the incident but admitted the decision for Can to take it came because both Moukoko and Can had already netted.

He said: "We have several good penalty takes, such as Emre Can or Marco Reus. The discussion in the game was not long. Emre played very well and was rewarded with the penalty. The other two had already scored.”

Dortmund will aim to be on the same page ahead of the box office clash with Rangers as they go in search of a mammoth result in front of 50,000 supporters against Gio van Bronckhorst' s side..
