The U.S. military is preparing to carry out its first execution in more than six decades. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that Nidal Hasan, the former Army psychiatrist who killed 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009, will face a firing squad in December. The officials confirmed that the event will be livestreamed to the public, as per The Guardian.
During an interview with Real America’s Voice, Hegseth said the execution would take place at Fort Hood in Texas at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 3. He also made it clear that the administration intends to make the event public, arguing that people should understand the consequences of such attacks.
