Donny van de Beek 'pushing' for permanent Everton move and more Man United transfer rumours

Donny van de Beek is reportedly planning on joining Everton permanently this summer if he helps to keep them in the Premier League.

The on-loan Manchester United midfielder is set to remain at Goodison Park for the remainder of the season, having joined the Toffees on January transfer deadline day.

Van de Beek has already been praised by Everton boss Frank Lampard for his impact since making the move to Merseyside, having been left frustrated by his lack of chances at Old Trafford.

And, according to The Mirror, the Netherlands international wants to turn his loan move into a permanent one if Everton can avoid relegation.

The Toffees suffered another setback in their mission to move away from the Premier League’s drop zone after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Southampton on Saturday. That result leaves them just four points above the bottom three, with the sides below them starting to pick up some form.

Should Van de Beek manage to help Everton avoid relegation though, the 24-year-old will reportedly push to join the club on a permanent basis, provided the Toffees can reach an agreement with United.

The report claims United could decide to cut their losses on Van de Beek, but would still look for around £20million from Everton for a permanent sale.

Elsewhere, United have been linked with hijacking Liverpool’s pursuit of Fabio Carvalho from Fulham in the summer.

The young winger came close to securing a move to Anfield during the January transfer window, but the deadline passed before they could get the deal done.

And having been denied in their pursuit of the 19-year-old, Liverpool could now find themselves denied the chance to sign the teenager during the summer.

The Daily Star reports that United are looking to make a last-ditch attempt to stop Carvalho from heading to Anfield, although they will face a tough task with the Reds having already negotiated a fee with Fulham.

Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham are also claimed to be keeping a close on the situation, but are resigned to losing out.
