Donna Karan New York is getting a major makeover. The brand was acquired by G-III Apparel Group in 2016 and the group just launched a new label heavily inspired by Donna Karan's original work.
The brand's Spring 2024 campaign called "In Women We Trust" features an impressive cast. Cindy Crawford, Karlie Kloss, Linda Evangelista, Imaan Hammam, Shalom Harlow, Carolyn Murphy, Amber Valletta and Liya Kebede appear in the stylized ads shot by Annie Leibovitz. These influential women, all spanning different generations, have personal connections to the Donna Karan New York brand.
Although Karan is not actually involved in the project, the campaign is a "resounding celebration of the brand's iconic heritage that now marks a new chapter in both legacy and future." The label's latest capsule collection is inspired by the designer's Seven Easy Pieces method of dressing she originated in the 80s. It's the theory that you only need seven basics in your wardrobe.
