As Jason and Travis Kelce become the first set of brothers to play in a Super Bowl against each other, their parents are soaking up the moment. However, Donna and Ed Kelce will not be together as their sons make history Sunday in Glendale, Ariz.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell invited the Kelces to watch the game in his luxury box at State Farm Stadium, but only Donna accepted the offer. Ed, on the other hand, wants to watch the game with the rest of his family.
“I’m a blue collar grunt. I’m sitting in the stands,” Ed Kelce said.
For Donna, sitting with Goodell presents an opportunity to watch the Super Bowl with more privacy than she was initially planning.
“I’ll be up there. It’ll be fun,” Donna Kelce told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo this week. “I think it’s a good idea. Otherwise I won’t be able to see the game, because of all the media. I don’t think they’d leave me alone, so I’m just gonna escape and watch the game in private.”
As Donna prepares for the game, she revealed her outfit, which supports Jason and Travis equally. Her jacket, bag, and even shoes are split down the middle, half supporting the Eagles and half supporting the Chiefs.
