ManpowerGroup, the leading global workforce solutions company, recently donated thirty computer desktops to needy rural schools in Phetchaburi province.
The remote schools are Baan Pa Deng Suksa high school and Baan Pa Deng Primary school situated in Tambol Pah La-Ou of Kaeng Krachan district. A group of students from both schools have been recipients of Bangkok Post Foundation scholarship funding since young age.
At the event, Vipasiri Chandhsaevee, Senior Human Resources Manager of ManpowerGroup told the students.
“Computer technologies are a vital part of education these days. Information technologies change rapidly. We understand electrical power was made available to the Pah La-Ou area last year. On behalf of ManpowerGroup, it is hoped that these computer sets will be an asset to improve student skills and talent in educational technologies at both primary and high school levels, in order to compete with the world’s fast-changing IT skills.”
“We are a leading global workforce solutions company in operation for 25 years, with headquarters in the United States. We have clients across more than 75 countries. We believe you all can be the future work force for your community and for the country. We support qualified students to sustain future job opportunities, within the country and overseas. We welcome qualified candidates and any of these students could be eligible for career opportunities. We have four offices in Bangkok, and others in Chonburi, Songkhla and Lamphun provinces.” she added.
“However, please bear in mind IT skills are increasingly in great demand in all aspects of current and future work force solutions. We would like to encourage young people to concentrate on IT skills from their early days. We hope the donated computers will be useful to students” she emphasized.
“A good education is very important in life. It can change all aspects of a student’s life for the better. ManpowerGroup believes in the capability of the younger generation to overcome adversity to achieve their educational goals. IT skills and talent are certainly in great demand for all aspects of future careers,” she concluded.
