DONALD Trump has said that the US will reinstate the Strait of Hormuz blockade and impose a 20% charge on cargo.

It comes as the US and Iran have both claimed they control the critical waterway after a weekend of attacks stretching across the wider Middle East, further threatening any diplomacy to end the war.
