Donald Trump Jr. And CFO Signed Checks For Cohen Payments

Former U.S. President Donald Trump attends the Trump Organization civil fraud trial, in New York

During the trial, Michael Cohen, former attorney for Donald Trump, revealed details about payments made to him from the Trump Organization. Cohen testified that a check from the revocable trust was signed by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump Org. CFO Allen Weisselberg. Another check for $35,000 in April was signed by Donald J. Trump himself.

When questioned about the purpose of these payments, Cohen stated that none of the checks were for work done during the months indicated on the check stubs. This raises questions about the nature of these transactions and their legality.

Testimony from Jeff McConney and Trump Org. employee Deborah Tarasoff shed light on the process of issuing these checks. McConney explained that he would send invoices to Tarasoff, who managed accounts payable and oversaw the issuance of checks to Cohen.

These revelations provide insight into the financial dealings within the Trump Organization and the role of key individuals in authorizing payments. The trial continues to uncover new information about the inner workings of the organization and its relationship with Michael Cohen.
