Donald Trump dominates Nevada caucus with 97% of the vote

Donald Trump to testify in New York civil fraud trial

Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, is set to speak after reportedly winning the Nevada caucuses, according to unofficial predictions. With nearly 97% of the vote, Trump currently holds a significant lead over his only competitor, Ryan Binkley, who secured just 2% of the estimated vote so far.

Trump's dominance in Nevada can be seen in the results from Clark County, home to Las Vegas, where he is way ahead of his opponents. Additionally, in Washoe County, where Reno is located, Trump holds 96% of the vote against Binkley's 4%.

One notable absence from the Nevada caucuses is Nikki Haley. The former South Carolina governor decided to participate in the Nevada primary instead, which took place on Tuesday. Despite this strategic move, Haley did not achieve victory, receiving only 30% of the vote.

While these preliminary results are a positive sign for Trump, it is important to note that the official vote count is still ongoing, with only 2% of the vote currently accounted for. However, if these numbers hold, Trump is likely to increase his delegate count and further solidify his position in the race.

In addition to the Nevada caucuses, another contest occurred today in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With 99% of the estimated vote in, Trump emerged as the clear winner, securing 74% of the vote against Haley's 26%. Although this contest only awarded four delegates, every delegate counts in the overall race.

Looking at the current delegate count, Trump holds a significant lead with 60 delegates, while Haley trails behind with only 17. With the potential to increase his delegate count in Nevada, Trump is expected to further extend his lead in the race for the nomination.

As the official vote count continues in Nevada, Trump's victory speech is highly anticipated. His strong showing in the caucuses and the U.S. Virgin Islands provides momentum for his campaign as he aims to secure the Republican nomination. The breakdown of results from the caucuses sheds light on Haley's absence and highlights the focus on delegates in this crucial phase of the campaign.

Further updates on the official vote count and any significant developments in the Republican race will be provided as they become available.
