Following his conviction in a criminal hush money trial, former President Donald Trump was reported to have attended a private dinner with Republican mega-donors in New York. The event took place just hours after the trial verdict was delivered.
Among the notable attendees was Steve Schwarzman, the chairman and CEO of Blackstone. Schwarzman, who had previously advocated for a 'new generation of leaders' during the Republican primary, recently expressed his support for Trump, much to the delight of the former president's advisers.
Another prominent figure present at the dinner was Jose 'Pepe' Fanjul, a well-known real estate and sugar tycoon.
