Donald Trump confirmed safe after gunshots fired near his Florida golf course; suspect in custody

"President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity," said Steven Cheung, communications director for Trump's campaign, in a statement. The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. at Trump International Golf Course, with Secret Service agents responding to the scene alongside officers from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
